Estuary Mod Install from the Guilouz Repository

The skin you use with Kodi is what makes your HTPC media centre solution. You want a skin that looks awesome and offers you functionality that is not available with the default install. The release of Kodi 17 Krypton saw a new skin that is the best default offering since Kodi’s launch but it is still not as customisable as many custom skins out there. Enter Estuary Mod! Estuary Mod is based on the standard Estuary skin giving it that exact same look and feel but with advanced customisation capabilities. Estuary Mod is one of the best Kodi skins out there and will make your Kodi solution complete. In this “Estuary Mod Install from the Guilouz Repository” post I will show you how to setup and install this skin. There is a full video tutorial at the bottom of this post.

Part 1 – Estuary Mod Review

For the Guliouz Repository download skip to Part 2: Stage 1 below.

Estuary Mod is a fantastic Kodi skin with many features. One of the best things about it is the customisation features that it comes with. Before we show the Estuary Mod install we will take a look what it has to offer.

Look and Feel

As the name suggests Estuary Mod has a similar look to the default skin that comes with Kodi Krypton, Estuary. The menus are condensed slightly to the centre of the screen but the two are very similar. What does become quickly apparent however is the additional menu options available to you. Every sub menu has additional items and features that can customise your system. Estuary Mod is suitable for both PC and TV devices like the Amazon Fire TV stick. It is also tablet friendly and works well on touch screen devices.

Advanced Features

A full list of Estuary Mod features can be found at the official Kodi forum but in this post I will highlight some of the advance customisation features that the skin offers.

Artwork Manager Addons

Estuary Mod comes packed with addons for managing your media library artwork. This makes it extremely easy to manage automatic artwork downloads or use your own box art images.

Background Music

Finish your media centre off with a background track as you browse through your collections. With Estuary Mod you can select any MP3 file from your libraries and have it play when your media centre boots. It will continue to play until another media file is selected. Customisable Menu Items

If you have a favourite addon or an external application then why not add a menu item for it on the main Kodi menu. Estuary Mod allows you to setup your Kodi menu system exactly how you want it and fully customise your Kodi navigation system. [Read: How to Customize Kodi Home Screen – Add Kodi Menu Items]

Backup & Restore

With so many customisations available and changeable settings you can really go to down on your solution. In order to protect it Estuary Mod gives you the ability backup and restore all your settings. Never loose your configuration and make changes knowing that they can easily be reversed.

Estuary for Kodi Krypton was a fantastic skin release making Kodi look better than ever. Now with Estuary Mod you can you can enjoy the look and feel of this skin but fully open to your customisation needs! The next section will take you through the Estuary Mod download and installation.

Part 2 – Estuary Mod Install from the Guilouz Repository

A full video tutorial is provided at the bottom of this post. There are two parts to the Estuary Mod Kodi skin install. We must first download and install the Guilouz repository zip. The Guilouz repository contains the Estuary Mod download.

Stage 1: Guilouz Repository Download

You can download the Guilouz Repository zip file by clicking here. You will find the download link in the first post.

Copy the zip file to your HTPC media centre and launch Kodi. We now need to make the Guilouz Repository available to Kodi. On the home screen click on Add-ons on the left hand menu. Next click Install from Repository. This is shown below. [Read: How to Install Addons with Kodi]
